Vorarlberg - genussvoll entdecken
What a small country, and what an abundance of pathways to explore it on. Some 6,000 km of sign-posted hiking trails criss-cross a colourful landscape between Lake Constance with its Mediterranean flavour and the sparkling glaciers of the Silvretta mountain range. 2,000 km in the Bregenzerwald alone, 1,100 km in the Alpenregion Bludenz.
Nestling in between: gently rolling hills, verdant woodland, picture-book villages, welcoming inns, gurgling rivers, hospitable alps, imposing mountain peaks, and well-tended trails for every liking. The hiking trail scheme is unique in Austria, combining convenience and safety, and leading visitors to a stunning variety of natural attractions. On themed hikes, visitors follow the footsteps of history and religion, natural wonders and culture. Hiking without luggage, local and regional guided walks, and a string of events all add up to a highly-addictive mix. More than 40 summer-season mountain railways help hikers mount and descend, while mountain restaurants offer culinary specialties as well as entertainment.
